The Family Reunion

We attended a family reunion for Linda’s side last weekend. There were her immediate family of mother, sister Julie, and the brother-in-law, John in attendance along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins… many which we only see once every few years. The best part is that it is a potluck dinner with great and abundance food. Plus it only lasts for a few hours.

As we were going through the line filling our plates the host asked who had cooked the casserole. Since I was next to him I stated that Linda had prepared it. John was standing beside me and got a funny look on his face. As we were sitting at the table John asked me who really had cooked it and I confirmed again that Linda had. “I thought you did all of the cooking in your family,” he said, just loud enjoy that I was sure everyone at our table, as well as the other tables, heard it. In doing so, he had informed everyone about my role in our relationship, whether intentional or not. Thankfully, nothing more was said about it.

After dinner, I was sitting in the living room with John and two other husbands, watching a NASCAR race on the big screen TV when Linda’s sister walked over with a baby in her arms. Without warning, she place the child on my lap and said “watch Patty’s baby while I help clean up.” And there I sat with this infant looking at me with as much of a surprise look as I had. John chuckled as the other husbands starred in disbelief. I sure they were wondering “what kind of man would let a woman just drop a kid on him like that?” There was nothing I could do but just sit there and try to keep the baby happen.

John looked at me and said “I see you make a good mother as well.” I am glad he didn’t go into any details for the other men. But we both knew what he meant. Just another set towards the feminine for me.

Sweetheart, I did get hooked on your little blog.

While I do not care to watch men wearing women's things, your openeness with your family intriques me.

I would not want to see my son wearing a dress. How does your mother feel when she sees you acting like a women. Many men have a softer side that needs to come out. My man would love to wear pretty, women's things; but aside from panties, he is not allowed to do so.

Sometimes I think we should be more open with our relatiosnhips.
We are so afraid someone will find somthing out, and when they do, it is usually 'no big deal'.

One of the most wonderful things about America is the freedom we have. In many places a man would be fined or jailed for wearing a women's skirt.

In may ways your wife is very understanding. How would you feel if she dressed in men's clothing, and acted like a man?

Thank you for your blog. You look cute in that outfit.

Love, Kathy
